The new Ohaus Defender 3000 Extreme

The picture shows the display & sensor being calibrated with a test rig to a max of 20,000kg.

The unit is ideal for the industrial environment it will be used in.

Once charged it can run from it’s internal battery for up to 100hrs.

There are two of these units being sent to our customer in Mexico.

Previously we have sent this type of kit out to Egypt and the Uk.

Care homes carrying out the scheduled inspections through the pandemic

We have been attending all the care homes during the pandemic carrying out the scheduled inspections and scale calibrations whilst ensuring the safety of all concerned.

Our engineers have worked in separate areas or outside on the scales and hoists, away from other personnel.

Lateral flow tests are carried out as well as on site temperature checks.

In the picture we see the chair scales all lined up outside prior to an inspection for service & calibration.

We do not take them away from site as some competitors do. All our work is done on site minimising downtime and associated costs. They are then individually labelled and a typed certificate issued.

Installation project at a steel works mill

This is a recent installation project at a steel works mill. We set up 8 loadcells that weigh a pack of steel of approximately 2.5 tonne.
The bars are rolled along then the chains lift and place onto the weigh scale before moving along.

Scales service & calibration

Scales require at minimum, a service & calibration once per annum.

The customer had complained of incorrect weighing.

What we found when we stripped out the platform was a pit full of waste product.

A thorough clean and service and the scale was soon back up and running accurately & smoothly.
